Melbourne Goan Girl in the Victorian State Girls Cricket team

Australia
Yolanne Amor Carvalho, 13, a school girl from Good Samaritan Catholic School, Roxburgh Park, Victoria, Australia, secured her place in the Victorian state girls U-13 cricket team 2009.

Proud to be the first Goan to be selected in the squad of 16 and cricket being her passion, Yolanne is also a great admirer of Lorna and Sachin Tendulkar and had met both at their residence in Bombay during her Christmas holidays 2008/2009.

Being part of a large Goan community here in Melbourne and making all Goans feel proud in Goa and around the world, Yolanne is a daughter of well known personality Mario Carvalho & Cherylanne (Chinky) Carvalho, from Madel Pequeno, Margao Goa and also a cousin of Valerie Carvalho who represented Goa Juniors Girl Soccer team 2009.

Though her season bowling career best is 5/5 and winning the coaches award while performing for the Roxburgh Park Cricket club boys U-12 which lost the Grand final by one run this year, hopes of being the best all rounder for the current state cricket tournament which is held at Brisbane and also dreams of representing the Australia female Cricket team in the near future.
